Terms and disclaimer
The short version: the browser-local tools are free and every tool is provided as it is. Pro is a subscription handled by Paddle that you can cancel at any time. Keep your own copy of every file you put into a tool, check the result before you rely on it, and do not treat anything here as legal advice.

Using the site
The tools that run in your browser are free to use and need no account. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, the remedy is simply not to use it; without an account there is nothing to cancel and nothing to close.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks the cloud tools, which run on our servers. It is sold through Paddle, who are the merchant of record: Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice, handles tax, and applies its own refund policy. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. We may add tools to Pro over time, and we may withdraw a tool that we can no longer run properly, in which case we will say so on its page.
One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; anything done while signed in to your account is treated as done by you.
Keep your own copies
The browser-local tools never send us your files, and the cloud tools hold a file only for the moment of processing and keep nothing afterwards. Either way we have no copy of anything you process. If a result is wrong, or a tab is closed mid-job, there is no version on a server to recover it from. Work from a copy and keep the original until you have checked the output.
Provided as is
The tools are provided without warranty of any kind. They are tested, and the tests are public, but no software of this sort can promise a correct result for every PDF ever produced — the format is old, widely implemented, and frequently implemented badly.
Open the result and check it before you send it, file it, print it, or delete the original. That advice applies to any tool that rewrites a document, not only this one.
About the signature tool in particular
Sign PDF places an image of your signature onto a page. It is the digital equivalent of printing a document, signing it, and scanning it back in.
It is not a certificate-based digital signature. It does not prove who applied it, does not show whether the document was altered afterwards, and can be removed or copied by anybody with a PDF editor. Whether a signature of this kind is sufficient for a particular document depends on the law where you are and on what that document requires. We cannot answer that for you, and nothing on this site is legal advice. If it matters, ask someone qualified.
eSign PDF is the cryptographic kind: it signs the document with a certificate you supply. What that signature is worth depends on who issued the certificate and on the recipient trusting it; we issue no certificates and run no timestamp authority.
What the tools are not
Nothing here is legal, financial, or medical advice, and no output should be treated as certified, notarised, or verified. A watermark is a label, not a restriction. Flattening a form prevents accidental edits, not deliberate ones. Removing metadata clears the document properties, not identifying information written into the visible content.
Each tool page states its own limits in the same plain terms. Where a tool cannot do something honestly, it is switched off and says so rather than returning a file that looks right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to:
- process documents you have no right to process
- remove protection from a document you are not authorised to open
- forge a signature, or apply anybody's signature but your own
- alter a record in order to mislead somebody who relies on it
- attack the site, or attempt to overload or disrupt it for others
We do not look at what you process, so these are not rules we enforce by inspection. They are the terms on which the site is offered, and an account used to break them may be closed.
Your files stay yours
You keep every right in the documents you process and in anything the tools produce from them. We claim no licence over your content. For the cloud tools, you grant us only what is needed to process the file and return the result, for the duration of that request and nothing beyond it.
The site itself, its design, and its code remain ours.
Availability
The site is offered without any guarantee of uptime. It may be unavailable for maintenance, and tools may be added, changed, or withdrawn. Tools currently marked as unavailable are not a commitment to build them, and a Pro subscription buys the cloud tools that exist, not the ones that are switched off.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ilovspdfs is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including lost or corrupted documents, missed deadlines, or decisions made on the basis of a result you did not check. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top shows when they last did. Questions go to hello@ilovspdfs.com.
