Convert an HTML file to PDF

HTML to PDF on ilovspdfs renders an HTML file into a PDF with a headless browser engine on ilovspdfs servers. Scripts are not run and nothing outside the file is fetched, so only content embedded in the file appears. It is part of Pro: the file is sent over HTTPS, rendered in memory, and never stored.

About this tool

The file is opened in a headless browser and printed to PDF, so CSS, tables, lists and inline images render as a browser would render them. Two deliberate limits keep that safe: no script in the file is executed, and no request leaves the renderer, so stylesheets, images and fonts referenced by URL are not loaded. Embed what the page needs — styles in a style element, images as data URIs — and the result is exactly what you put in the file.

Questions

Is my file uploaded for this tool?
Yes. Unlike the tools marked Private, this one sends your file to an ilovspdfs server over HTTPS, processes it in memory, and streams the result straight back as the response. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is logged about the contents, and nothing remains once the response has been sent.
Why are my images or styles missing?
Because they were referenced by URL, and the renderer fetches nothing. That is what stops a file from making our server reach out to other sites on your behalf. Embed images as data URIs and styles inside the file, and they appear.
Can I give it a web address instead of a file?
No. The tool renders a file you upload, with no network access at all. Save the page from your browser first.
Why does this tool need a Pro subscription?
Because it runs on hardware we pay for. Everything that runs in your own browser stays free with no account, at any file size. The cloud tools are the few jobs a browser tab genuinely cannot do, and Pro is what pays for the machines that do them.
